Welcome To Bainbridges

For over 40 years, Bainbridges have held nine sales a year of antiques, collectables, wines, spirits and general effects.

Bainbridges value at all levels using in-house and consultant valuers.

Our highest prices at auction have all come to us via probate valuations and private clearances, and include the £5,000 thimble we discovered during a valuation on the banks of Lake Como, a Ming bowl that had been used as an ashtray, sold for £100,000, the record-breaking £43 million Chinese vase in November 2010, a £3 million collection of Chinese ceramics in May 2012, and the Gainsborough drawing Bainbridges discovered and sold for £60,000 in July 2015. Similar successes continue in 2016 with £42,000 paid for a damaged pair of late Kangxi porcelain tulipieres after Delft originals discovered in Moor Park.
