I’m finding it difficult to get back into the groove. How about you?
Anyway, there is good news to start the year, Tony Sullivan, he ex of Sothebys, West London Auctions, Chiswick Auctions and currently, up to the December sale, cataloguing our pictures, has returned from the dead. With only one lung he caught Covid-19 and went to hospital, got over it and returned home, suffered blood clots, went back to hospital and now is back home and waiting for the physiotherapist to aid his recovery. Brilliant. Welcome back Tony.
Well, the dogs are barking at the door so we are about to hold an auction!

Pictures includes a really interesting folder: ‘The Soviet Political Poster’, containing 32 reproductions by Aurora Art Publishers, Leningrad, 1976, of Soviet posters from 1919-1970s. We have a good early group of five Japanese wood block prints by Utagawa Kunisada.

We also have a very good group of 18th century and later Indian miniatures which might be included subject to being catalogued in time.
The mirrors and silver and plate are still to be catalogued but all lots will be photographed and on our website and on the UKAuctioneers site from this weekend.
