A phone call from a recommendation asked if we could empty a home in Highgate of antiques in September but in the meantime could we make a little space and clear away some clothes. Ladies, polish up the plastic, we have shoes, frocks and handbags by Jimmy Choo, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, Ferragamo, Yves St Laurent, Chanel and more, and guess what… they are all your size !
Lladro, Lladro everywhere and do we have the biggest piece in the world? Check out the gondola on the website. Its over 37 inches long. And then there’s the figure of a dancer 36 inches tall, along with another 10 to 15 items. Ceramics and glass includes a large collection of Waterford crystal with sets of glasses still boxed. Royal Doulton features with a character jug of Field Marshall Smuts, a jug painted with three cricketers – Geo. Giffin, W.G.Grace and K S Ranjitsinhji – and an unusual tyg. We have a tea set presented to the Mayor of Manchester decades ago by Royal Crown Derby. Capo di Monte features greatly and we have a set of Pendelfin figures. We have a pretty set of old tiles and, from a very old home in Ealing made from an old stable block, come boxes of tiles that the vendor says are de Morgan. That same house has old greenhouse racking, a huge Victorian mirror and a grand piano, one of two that we have. There is a Moorcroft lamp, two Troika vases, Quimper, oriental including a large charger, and a huge apothecary’s jar.
