Need a new car? We have a NISSAN MICRA to sell.  It might not be new in a literal sense but with only 10,000 miles on the clock it will be a snip at £2000. .

We are very pleased to be instructed to offer the four paintings already shown on the Blog that don’t suite the new penthouse in Bishop’s Avenue, Hampstead.  Luigi Scaffai was a prolific Italian painter in the second half of the 19th century and our charming picture, titled Clay Soldiers, is very typical of his work.  Much earlier, in fact dated 1639, is an impressive and most competent portrait of a gentleman aged 81 when dying at 41 was probably more usual.  I wonder who he was!  There are other PICTURES.

Tramp was a very famous club in the 70’s in Jermyn St W1. I may have seen you there though I don’t recommend it today. One of the chefs from that time lives locally. He has asked us to sell two bottles of 1957 CHATEAU MOUTON ROTHSCHILD given to him at Christmas by the club owner. Something to celebrate a change of government?

The Beaconsfield mansion that filled the last auction still has 50 boxes to be unpacked, along with another 100 held over from other clients. The shelves are filling with good CHINA, a Troika vase, a fabulous Victorian silk and lace wedding dress and head dress, weapons, an Imperial German iron cross, a wonderful collection of old brass and copper and a collection of early wooden stools. Do you want LUGGAGE? We have lots, mainly crocodile handbags, briefcases and wallets but we also have a group of Louis Vuitton , a Gucci red leather Kelly bag, a large collection of fountain pens and pencils, old ivory, portrait miniatures.

FURNITURE is thin currently but more is coming in daily. We do have a very pretty George lll satinwood Pembroke table, a charming rare Georgian tripod spinning wheel and an oriental four fold screen. JEWELLERY has the usual gold content and SILVER and PLATE are represented. There are FURS, COSTUME, BOOKS and COLLECTABLES include street signs. Two old but very tidy scooters are on show in the hall along with pianos. GENERAL EFFECTS and white goods as usual along with garden ornaments.
